Identity thieves are out there, waiting to use your own computer to steal your identity from you. Fight back against cyber crime and don't let them take advantage of you. It's time to take your online security into your own hands. It is my hope that by sharing my own experiences with identity thieves and other online predators trying to get my information I will help someone else learn to spot such underhanded tactics before they are taken advantage of.

Why?

Okay, so the first question most people are likely to ask is: “Why?”  Why have a website namd “How Stupid Do They Think I Am”?

The answer is simple and it started on a Blogger blog for me, then I decided to move it to here, it’s very own domain.  This is a place where I can stop for a moment to pound my head against the desk as I wave the e-mails I get in the air and ask “How stupid do they think I am?”

A place I can dump those scam and SPAM e-mails that I get.  A place I cn, maybe, alert one or two others to the scams that are being sent around the Internet and perhaps make the average user a little more worldwise on what tricks are used to steal identities.

If I can help just one person learn to identify these scams, then I will have achieved something and my time will have been well spent.  So, I may not have the most entertaining blog you will see, but I’m not trying for entertainment.  I’m just venting and pointing out that I am not as stupid as they seem to think I am.

Will I get an onslaught of e-mails from people out to prove I can be taken in? Probably. Do I care? No. If you want to SPAM me go for it.  Right now my inbox is already so stuffed to the gills with such idiocy that a few more e-mails won’t do anything but feed this blog.
