About
July 31st, 2007 — CyberCatSo, who am I? Wouldn’t you like to know.
I will tell you that I am a sole blogger, that I cull these entries here from my personal e-mail account and I am tired of hearing about people being taken in by scammers that rip off their life savings.
I know the Internet. I consider myself to be a part of the online community. I have made being online a part of my life and have been raised to love computers. I will no longer sit by and watch as those with nothing better to do than cause mayhem run amok on the Internet. I could go into poetic mumbo jumbo about fighting evil and leave you all with images of a lone hero standing bravely silhouetted against the skyline as the American flag furls in the wind behind them (yes, I’m American, there you got that much out of me), but I won’t, because all I am is a lone blogger out here in cyberspace trying to alert whoever I can to the reality of some of the junk I see in my e-mail.
If I can prevent just one person from falling victim to the scams and cons I write about here then my work is done.
Who am I? I am every blogger and every Internet user out there who has ever screamed and ranted about viruses and scams and having an inbox download over 5,000 e-mails because some robot scum has used my e-mail to send out millions of phishing schemes.
Who am I? I am the quiet person in the corner of the computer lab at the local college that can answer any question and helps everyone, even though I am not a member of the computer lab staff.
Who am I? I am the daughter of those who founded this glorious tool we call World Wide Web.
Who am I? I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.
I’m a blogger.
I’m watching.
And I’m fighting back.
Bring-it-on!

Oh, and you can call me CyberCat.
